You're probably fine... obviously avoid potholes and rough roads. The whole weight of the rear is pressing down and there are 3 more bolts holding!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Parts might be here early next week though, so I might go ahead and at least do the potentially broken one before I leave town... Not sure if it was necessary but I ordered parts for both sides - by the end I will have removed/rebuilt/installed both sides four times each, so didn't want to take any chances with worn parts. That's another reason I think I broke a bolt - they are supposed to be replaced each time, and I was on my third install when it happened.

Not yet, but hopefully soon. It’s been a busy year at work, and I haven’t had the time it takes to do it right - and with documentation.

Just pulled out my Rear Suspension on my 2011 Cayenne experiencing the same issue!

Horrible experience to say the least but thank you for posting this up.

What Springs were you running?

Any info you can share additionally would be great?

Like who did you work with at Bilstein?

Sorry to hear that, but hopefully you can get it resolved quickly. I don't recall who I spoke with at Bilstein, but they were more for information on the issue. You'll need to do the return through the place you purchased them, and they will deal with the manufacturer.

I used stock springs... It's been long enough since I did the job I can't think of any tips of the top of my head. I'll be redoing the rears at some point though, as I need to finish replacing the mounts.

What did you use to compress the springs to get the shocks in?

That seems like the scariest part of the whole project.
