Seems the new struts don't have the connector shell.
This will involve de-pinning the old connector for the shell or purchase a new connector shell.

Thanks garrett376 for your "phone a friend" support yesterday.

Thanks Jayi836 for sharing a better way to deal with the connector. I did contemplate trying to remove the connector but it looked like it couldn't be done and risk damage. Good to know for next time.
P.S. I have updated wording in my post above to reflect this new found knowledge on the replacement connector.

These are the items I used to fill the N2 system.
Or go to the dealership for a fill and calibration.
Items above were sent to me by garrett376 Many thanks my friend.
I could only find grade 3 Nitrogen don't think even the dealer can find grade 4.(99.9999%)
99.999% NITROGEN
This was still less way expensive than a 4 hour visit to the local dealer.
Calibration PIWIS is preferred I also did it with a Launch scanner

You can get grade 5 in the Long Beach area. Let me look for the place.

- It looks like PIWIS-II is preferred (is this what most use or am I looking at a bad source: https://m.obd2tool.com/goods-10525-P...30-Laptop.html)?
- Launch Scanner can work(looks like there are lots of version, which are we referring to?)
- Autel Mk808 can adjust height (Bluetooth version here). Can it also perform the maintenance (calibration, recharge, etc) procedures?

Great thread. Can anyone confirm which OBDII tools are/aren’t able to perform the per-strut N2 recovery, Air Suspension Calibration, N2 recharge, and-or per-corner ride height adjustment? I want to pick up a good tool and—thinking ahead—want to be sure it’s capable for when air issues arise.

The launch was able to do the air suspension under:
Level/PASM
"Replace Air Spring"
calibration should be done afterwards.

As far as the PIWIS: Is there a reputable vendor that the forum prefers? It looks like a II would be fine for our (current) vehicles, but I'd rather go with a III if I can find one for a decent price and the PIWIS is really what's needed to provide the highest level of success with these cars. The Autel looked promising to me, but I haven't come across enough information regarding folk's success using it on the 958 platform (especially in suspension replacement).

I'll try and plug in my icarsoft and send the level commands and see what happens later. They're there. Does the suspension have to be in locked / service mode before?

Thanks, @jayi836 ! So that's the Launch X-431 ProS Mini Full System that appears to work per your link.

I can send you the information if needed

Wow, what a job. May I ask what this cost you to do, all-in? Would replacing with steel springs have been simpler?

Starting to figure out how to replace worn air suspension on 2014 gts cayenne. All the air components of the suspension are fine, it’s just so bumpy I think the shock dampening is worn at 130k miles. From one of the pics, it looks like maybe the lower half, the damper could be replaced only?
Also curious if the GTS bilstein units are different from the turbo units or other cayenne models, or is it simply the programming of the ride height, as gts is lower?
Seems like several of you have paved the way to figuring this out, would appreciate any tips pointers.
