Air Conditioning
Hello. My first lovely summer in Florida. Its regularly 93 degrees everyday along with humidity. I am certain by next summer, I will have turned red and grew horns.
I have 65k miles on my 13 CS. I didn't really notice but I recently had someone in my car with me and he told me to crank up the AC so I did and 10 minutes later he was still complaining. I think the air is probably not as cold as it could be but I cannot tell that there are any issues per se. After hearing this from someone, I guess I can notice a little bit but like if I'm in Chicago, I probably would not notice.
-Is there way to check to see how cold AC should be(thermometer and put it on the vent?)
-What would be the solution?(Get freon refilled?)
I've never had AC issues on any of my vehicles so I know not much about it. Thanks for your help.

with a properly functioning HVAC (use the PIWIS/AllDataDIY steps) you should see 50F out of the center vent at 95F.
Last year had an identical comment from the passengers. Turned out that the blower motor would not go beyond about 50% despite the panel indicating full speed. New blower motor assembly resolved the issue.

Thank you CAVU. Fortunately, my "blower" still "blows" very strong but I think this DIY might come in handy down the road so thanks. The VDO Motor is still amazingly priced at $136, did they not get the Covid memo? Im tempted to just buy it and hold it.
I think I will try the freon recharge route first.
