Did you install the Lamin-X?

I installed the 3M film on the Q7 and on the Cayenne.

It came out a bit uneven on the Q7 as the bumper is not pristine. Also, I did it first.

And on the Cayenne, the film came in two pieces...Not really sure how long it will stay where it's supposed to...

I like the idea, but I think the ABS plastic protector will look better long term...

I was on the fence, so I haven't installed it yet. Any pics of yours?

I made sure I'm the only one to unload my trunk in the meantime LOL

Not sure photos will show anything...it's pretty invisible...

I ordered the ABS plastic piece from Demon Tweeks yesterday. I figured I was going to do it eventually... Does anyone need some slightly used 3M material?

Purchased it from a retailer in England (shipped to the US via UPS).

I wish I could find something similar for the Q7. Might have to go with a universal fit (not custom) rubber protector. The Q7 is our beast of burden, so to speak, and the bumper is showing the use...

The good news is...it's just a bumper!

Hey,

you can get the RGM guards special order from these guys. You may have to wait a month or so, but free shipping! I just called them and talked to Charles and he hooked it up.

https://store.ngpracing.com/universa...earguards.html

Thanks,

Enrique

I ordered one of these RGM guards from the UK, and once delivered, I found that it had been previously returned and someone had hacked it up (presumably to fit on a different vehicle)

The vendor refunded me, and I have ordered from another site, but not convinced that I will ever receive it, as I have had no communication from them. I may need to look at one of these other vendors.

Thanks

I seem to remember ordering mine from the UK. It fit perfectly. But it was quite expensive with the shipping. I think it was still worth it.

I ordered one from Charles (ngpracing) referenced above. He's in MD, so worst case it's a CC dispute LOL

Yep, it's looking that way, I haven't heard back form the mystical website I ordered from. I have given them until the EOD today before I dispute the charge!

I really liked the look of the part that I received, it's just it's a shame it was hacked up

That is odd. I'm guessing they sent you a returned item by accident.

That’s exactly what I think happened, and they refunded me without any hassle, so no harm done. I guess that they didn’t have another one in hand, as they didn’t offer to send a replacement.
