It's never been a factory option for these, so it'd have to be some sort of after-market setup using a video input. Which leads you down the rabbit hole of replacement radios...
- ACC Sensor - This is the most expensive part. In AU, Porsche sells it for A$6500 which is insane. I believe in US, its around $2500. I bought from eBay for AS500. Its up to you but a compatible sensor in a good shape will work. - Part No : 7p5.907.567.D
Would you know if Audi distance radar sensor would work on the Cayenne? They look exactly the same and share same Pins but different part number from Bosch (which is the part supplier for both Audi and Porsche)
As mentioned by others, there is no factory option. I actually did install night vision o my previous Cayenne but its a lot hassle and expensive. You will need to make mounts etc for the installation etc. For the input, I used a video input module (such as JayCar Apple CarPlay hardware which many of us are installing in Porsche. That device have 2 x additional input which can be used for the night vision) which just install as plug n play and without replacing any of your existing radio. You will need to switch to that module every time to view the night vision (similar to Apply Car Play). For the hardware, I used the FLIR night vision which is actually the same hardware Porsche now shipped Cayenne 2020 with. At the end, it's cool but expensive and very time consuming etc. I actually made a video of that as well as below.

Not sure about this. I will assume it should work as most parts in Porsche are of Audi/VW but you will need to connect to see if Porsche accepts the part no.
I have had my 2014 CTTS for a month and the two options I never knew I needed and now can't live without are ACC and PDCC. ACC while useful can't hold a candle to PDCC. Taking an on ramp at highway speeds with no body roll gives me a thrill every time.
Excellent post and DIY! I wanna start sourcing the right parts for my Panamera 970 now as well. took me 6 months to find a 970 GTS spec'ed with (mostly) all I wanted, here in California. only ACC missing. So I will take your guide as reference for my own project.
Hello all, I just bought my first Porsche a 2017 Cayenne Platinum Edition and I am loving it. I want to add ACC and this post is amazing to that end. Thank you! I have been searching for a few hours now trying to see if I can cross-reference the Bosch part number 7P5.907.567.D to the Porsche part number 958-907-567 that fits my car. I have a couple of questions. First is there a site that allows for a cross-reference? If so I sure can't find it. Next, I am wondering if the same sensor was used across multiple years of the Cayenne. If so then if I see one on Ebay that came from a year in that range I would feel good about buying it. Lastly, I am wondering if the sensor is the same across all models of the same year of Cayenne, base, Platinum, S, etc. or is the sensor trim package specific. Any help anyone has is truly appreciated. Thanks, Chris
Quick update. I fitted the ACC module to the Crash Can bus at the Gateway module and started to program. Before any programming the cluster identified that it has ACC and displayed ACC/PAS unavailable.
I've coded the following modules:
VO (Vehicle Order) 8T3 (ACC option) enabled
Steering Electronics (Haven't installed the new Combo Switch with distance rocker yet so I have an open cct error atm as expected)
DME
PSM
Front End Electronics
ACC (changed VIN to match my car)
I still have the following errors. I'm not sure if due to a coding limitation of my Thinkcar PD8, incompatibility of the ACC Module or Gateway Module.
DME - Error Function Limitation
ACC - Communication error with transmission
ACC - Communication error with PSM
I'll collect some screen shots soon and attach.
Any help would be amazing. My next step is to try some alternate scan tools or look into PIWIS II
