Hi there, I'm not too knowledgeable about cars so I was hoping I could get some good advice. I have a 2016 Base Cayenne that just lost its new car warranty. I would wondering if the forum members have a suggestion as to a good extended warranty either directly from Porsche or a good 3rd party and the cost. Also I'm told by the dealer that I'm due for the major service even though my car is only 35k miles. Any thoughts? Thanks!

honestly, with the exception of the much maligned transfer case, the base vr6 cayennes are very solid. And even then, you can obtain a rebuilt transfer case for about $2k.
My advice, take the $3k you would spend on the warranty, put it in an online savings account, and add a few bucks to it every now and then. If something happens, you're self insured. If not, you got some extra cash.
Obviously would not include things like regular maintenance or tires, which the warranty wouldn't cover anyway.

That's totally worth it for an S/Turbo/Turbo S if you ask me. Last quote I had was something like $7,500 for 2 years on my '13 CS with 90k, haha. Thankfully I do most of my own maintenance, but if this is what people are paying.... Yikes.

thats a very good deal on a turbo S, which has air suspension, PTV, turbos, pdcc etc. I'm assuming this is an exclusionary fidelity policy?

Which brand of warranty did you get for the Turbo S? That is cheap for an extended on a base model. I have always heard Fidelity is the preferred extended warranty to go to.

It was sold by Chandler Porsche , the TTs has only 20k miles so that was a big reduction in cost. It has a 250.00 deductible but no exclusions... The name of the company is / policy is milage edge plus.. 5 years or 50k miles...

I've got a '17 GTS that's about to hit the 3 year 36k point. I've already had the transfer case replaced. I'm likewise curious about my options. I don't plan on getting rid of the vehicle any time soon. Depending on the plan it might be worth it to stave off repeated surprises.
