Lightbulb Bumper Protector (was: Potential small Group Buy - Bumper Protector)

OK, so as you all likely know, it's difficult to keep the top of the rear bumper from getting scratched if you use your Cayenne to carry things. I've been looking at options for some time, and after recently getting rear-ended and getting the rear-end freshly painted I've decided to pull the trigger. I know the clear wrap is the simple solution, but I found this more rugged option and decided to go this route:

https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/product/...rsche-cayenne/

I've reached-out to the company to inquire about shipping to the US, and I can get one shipped to me for $78, or up to 6 pieces shipped for $85..... Sooo, considering the shipping cost, I thought I'd see if there was anyone else interested. I'm likely going to grab one for my mom's Ford Edge, so there should be 4 additional slots.

If anyone is interested, PM me and we'll figure things out.

BTW, if there is a lot of interest, I'll see about costs for larger shipments.

Looks like a great thing (better than the stainless Chinese one I have that my sister-in-law managed to dent up putting her hundred-pound suitcase in the rear - she breaks anything she gets close to..)

One caution - the shape of the rear bumper is slightly different between 958.1 and 958.2 - hopefully, they offer the correct one.

Is the shipping for any six items or do they have to be the same? I have a 2016 with SportDesign but I think the upper portion of the bumper is standard Cayenne.

I think they all need to be bumper protectors, but they don't have to be for the exact same vehicles.

I'd be interested in this for the 958.2 - https://rgmautomotive.co.uk/product/...-cayenne-2017/ in black.

I'd be interested in getting in on the deal. How would shipping work from you to the others in on the buy?

I'll have everything shipped to me, and then I'll ship things out to folks at cost. I may have to buy some boxes, but those are cheap.

I guess I don’t get it. You would rather have a large piece of flat black plastic than a small inconspicuous scratch?

Some people (like me) have a black car. Some people (like me) are always loading things like wheels, tool boxes, etc. into the back of their vehicle. Some people (like me) already have more than small scratches in that area. Some people (like me) think this is a perfect cheap solution.

Some people (like you) feel the need to project their opinion in a way that is not constructive.

Have you decided whether or not to move forward with this?

Sure, or maybe the stainless steel version that is sort of a match to the door threshold. Black car needs all the help it can get in wear areas!

I'm interested since the Cayenne ends up being the family hauler, and I end up picking up a lot of my family from JFK airport (with lots of luggage).

What are folks thinking of doing? I'm torn between Black and Carbon.
