Default 2012 Cayenne weird electrical problems

Hi,

Yesterday the light for a dynamo fault came on. After that the radio started switching on and off, i got all sorts of warning (break system warnings, etc...) so i drove the car home.
It would not start anymore so i jump started the car (put my other car next to it, also a Cayenne and used starter cables) and it started straight away.
I left it running for about 5 minutes and the lights turned off, radio turned off again and got a lot of warnings again... so i turned of the vehicle again.
Is it all because of dead battery or is the alternator also dead?

What's your thoughts? I read alot about these cars doing some very weird things when the battery dies but i thought when it runs the alternator should give power to all electrical systems...

EDIT: Today is wanted to drive the car to a dealer to replace the battery and it stopped shifting gears and lost power, after a 5 min drive the engine stopped.

I doubt this is all because of a dead battery.

Do you have a history on the current battery and alternator? Factory installed or new one since then? Miles on the vehicle? Voltage at the terminals under the hood?

Yup, this ^^

The beast needs juice to keep all the brain cooking. You'd have to have some pretty damaged wiring/shorts otherwise.

Sounds like the alternator. This is going to be expensive..

BTW - it's useful if we know the model of your Cayenne besides the year.
