Default '17 Cayenne - Drivers door electronics all stopped working

I have a 17 Platinum, and today on my way home from work I noticed that my window wouldn't go down. Upon further inspection, none of the buttons on my driver's side door work at all (memory seats, folding mirrors, etc). On top of it, when I turn the ignition off the car doesn't know when I've opened the door to get out, so all of the accessories stay on (radio, NAV screen, etc).

I get a (new) message saying "Remove ignition key" on the gauge screen when I turn the ignition off, and when I turn it on I get another error message stating "start/stop mode deactivated". I googled around and usually the latter is accompanied by a PSM failure message but I don't have that, just the S/S deactivated message.

I called my local dealer and they can't get me in for a loaner for a few days, so I'm hoping I can DIY troubleshoot it. Has anyone run into this before? Any insight would be appreciated.

do you have a code reader? what codes it throwing might really help you DIY this issue & future ones a lot easier.

I keep mine with my Cayenne. It is not super fancy but it does enough to give me the information I need and was priced appropriately. I purchased it for like $55 & now its like only $51 USD

The car's been at the dealer for the last 3 days - turns out it was the driver's door wiring harness. They got it replaced but are still having issues with the exterior buttons on the door handle not working. All (thankfully) covered under the CPO warrantee.

On an unrelated note, my loaner is a 2019 Macan and I really don't like it. I was on the fence between the two and I'm really glad I went with the Cayenne instead - the Macan is just small and really (IMO) uncomfortable. I'll be happy to get my car back.

Interesting.
I have also had faults in the door wiring harness, front right door. The LIN bus wire was broken off inside the rubber boot, preventing communication with the rear right door.
Cheers,
Tore
