another possibility for the used tire route. https://www.bestusedtires.com/all-tire-sizes

But has a lot of tread depth left. Don't know how much tread is on the damaged tire.

I'm running the Scorpion Verde Plus and am happy with them on my DD. They're not the best in snow/ice but get by and make a bit of noise if pushed in corners but they last a heck of a lot longer than the N0 equivalent. Not a performance tire but I'd buy again as they fit my usage.
1) Not the best in snow- check
2) Not the best on ice- check
3) Make noise- check
4) Last a long time, so you live with #1, #2, and #3 for a while

That said, if you drive your Cayenne hard then get the correct tire. If it's a DD and you don't typically push it hard (as opposed to spirited) then there's nothing wrong with a tire that lasts twice as long or more. My Scorpion Verde N0 tires lasted under 15K miles and I had no desire to spend that kind of money on a yearly basis. Everybody's situation is different so choose the kind of rubber which suit your driving habits.

So a quick update. Since I took pics of the car before I bought it I was able to prove the gouge was there before. They are going to look at it when I take it in next week for some things (adding key fob and remote start).
Thanks for all the input guys!
I'll update this once I get the car back. It does help that I bought through a Porsche dealer I think.

Was it CPO? If so, it should not have passed the CPO to begin with without them replacing the tires, since it has that damage.

It was not CPO. Just happended to be the dealer the original two previous owners had purchased and serviced the vehicle from.
