Dunno on the Car Connect / LTE setup - but on the 3.1 PCM used in the majority of systems, you can buy the update for around $300 from some Porsche dealer on-line, but to install it and get it to work, you have to take it to the Porsche store where they hook the car up with Germany and an enable code is sent to the car. Figure it's gonna cost around $600 - and no guarantee that the maps are up to date.

If the maps are what you want, I suggest you spend about the same amount of money and buy a Garmin GPS with lifetime map updates. I gave up on trying to get updated maps on past Audis, BMWs, Lexus, and Porsches. Whenever I am going on a trip I plug the Garmin in to my computer and get their latest maps, they are always better than any of the marks OE maps.
