Drove a 2019.....I Like Mine Better
Drove a 2019. Rides softer and brakes are not as good....softer and engage slower. Vehicle does seem more refined. AC is improved. However;I don't like the touch screen controls on the dash at all. Overall, I prefer my 2015 CD, and if I were going to buy something else, I'd buy a CPO 2018 GTS. I wonder if Porsche is moving more towards luxury.

Funny thing - one of the biggest complaints about the new model (we have a subforum for it of course) is the HVAC system being weak. That might have been solved by one member finding that the vehicle settings are defaulted to the economy mode of AC (similar to our lowest output mode.) A few people reported changing the setting to normal and it works OK then.

I drove a 2019 Cayenne as a loaner for 2 weeks. Absolutely hated the touch controls. No tactile feel. Had to take my eyes off the road to do anything. Touch screens vs buttons seems to be the way all new cars are going, but I don't like it.

I don't get it. When we got this car we briefly considered a new Audi A7...I can't stand the new interior and 100% touch screen. This is from Audi, who never had touch screen MMIs and always preached tactile feel of buttons and ***** and switches so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. You know if they are making the switch, everyone is.

One of my biggest (and brief disappointments) when we picked up our 2016 GTS yesterday was the weakness of the A/C. We are in SC and it was currently 102 degrees. Then, true to VAG fashion, I found a menu in the PCM about 5 layers deep that showed the A/C to be on the lowest of 3 settings. Problem and disappointment solved!

i see a big difference in suspension softness and engine aggressiveness between a 958.2 Base and S.. i think the trims need to be the same because there is a big difference from what i have experienced. Im super happy about the 15 S we found - also the bigger brakes!

I also drove a 2019 Cayenne base for a short test drive and that's all I needed to experience to know my 2016 Macan S is more fun and safe to drive. I don't have to take my eyes off the road while searching for the right input on the center console.
My 2013 CD is not as much fun to drive as my Macan, but at least I can keep my eyes on the road.
I am not sure I will buy a 2019/2020 Cayenne at this point unless Porsche drops a PDK transmission into the new Cayenne models.
The 2016 to 2018 Cayenne models seem like a bargain compared to the 2019/2020 newer models.
Where else can you buy a Porsche S/GTS/Turbo for around $40K to $60K depending on mileage, etc.
