Default 958.2 2016 CS Spark Plugs change

Does anyone know know how to change spark plugs for 958.2 2016 CS?
I've searched forum and web, I see lots DIY for 958.1 but not for 958.2, if anyone has done the spark plug changes on 985.2 please post them, thanks!

I just did this.. and was very straight forward.. this is just off the top of my head
- remove engine covers
- remove igniters - 1 or 2 bolts on each and they pull out
- top engine mount was blocking rear passenger side igniter - remove
you should have access to all the plugs
- remove each, check condition, install new plug - torque to spec 22ft-lbs

There are a lot of similarities with the V8 setup - https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm

very straightforward - have fun!

Make sure to buy all new coil bolts before you start this project.

I replaced all 6 plugs and coils yesterday. It's much easier than my BMW f10. My is CS and it's on 57600 miles so I changed coils as well.

Congratulations - your 2nd post to the forum got you into the DIY forum. Great video - should be quite valuable to the V6 owners! NICELY DONE!

Thanks so much for doing this for us! I’ll definitely change my own once they come due in 25k miles.

No problem! Think you will still have another 5-10K miles to go though as mine were at 36,600 miles.

THIS IS AWESOME!!! I can finally reference these for my spark plugs change!
Quick question - Should I gap or gap check the spark plugs?
Now days they are usually pre-gapped but just to be sure, wonder what the gap should for 958.2.... 0.032?

You're welcome. I would have done the oil change but that is way too messy for this vehicle.

I bought the pre-gapped from Bosch Double Platinum. I would have actually just bought the OEM spark plugs from Suncoast. NGK for the Cayenne is hard find or non existent!

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding plug change for my 2016 Cayenne S with 83k miles. I just ordered new Bosch plugs from FCP (now I am learning I need to replace the coil bolts as well) but I am wondering if you all think it would be prudent to order new coils while I'm at it. I do not have any codes or check engine lights. I have however noticed a very slight rough idle at times, which is why I want to throw new plugs in. They were last changed at 55k miles, so they are due. I'm just wondering if I should just start with the plugs, or spend another few hundred dollars and do coils as well, they seem to come new bolts anyway. I'm just asking because there arent a lot of folks online who have discussed changing their coils with this particular year/model. Its mostly the V8 Cayenne S I'm seeing discussed. Thank you!

I did plugs on a 50k mile car and the coils looked fine. I'd look at them and see if any are cracked. Its an easy enough job that having to throw some coils in later is nbd.

I did mine at 80k, and based on my reasearch at that time it absolutely seemed like the right thing to do. 100k would probably be pushing it, and it's relatively cheap insurance.
