It's an interesting theory. Change the oil first. Then the errors should be cleared and observe how the car behaves when accelerating and whether the error messages only reappear after 30-40 kilometers, or immediately afterwards. If the driving style is OK and the CEL comes on first, as he said, then it's the high-pressure fuel pump.
It would be interesting to hear that "master mechanic" explain how a high pressure pump could somehow leak drips of gas into directly into a cylinder...
A leaking injector... sure... but a high pressure fuel pump?
