Base V6 3.6 PCV
Hello, I want to know if one of you had problem like strange noise on idle suspected from the PCV valve or air oil separator. If I understand, I need to remove the valve cover and replace the orange membrane sold on the web. Or buy an entire valve cover housing from a 3.6 Q7 or a Touareg from a scrap yard. Thanks for your help.

Mine is still fine so I haven't had to do this yet but I've seen online instructions about that membrane. I just looked through alldatadiy.com and removing the intake is actually more work. Valve cover is easy-peasy after the intake is off.
BTW, you must be seeing increased oil consumption if that membrane is shot. Nothing dramatic but it should register.
