Another T/case question
Hi All I had my transfercase changed about 15,000 miles ago and now I have 50,000 miles on my Cayenne S CPO. I changed the oil about 4,000 miles ago and noticed that the car was smoother and even saw an increase in gas mileage as it seems like the transmission has a willingness to up shift into 8th quicker. However, I still get an occasional thump in 4th ( I live in Manhattan so I experience a lot of 3-4-5 shifts) and sometime on a downshift the 3-2 feels like it binds up. This happens intermittently and I went to two dealers that cant seem to feel it. My question is should I change the oil again or should I continue to make a stink with the dealer? I'm not crazy it does bang on occasion but ran better after I changed the fluid wondering if I should have left it so the problem is more noticeable. Thoughts?

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum.
When is your CPO up? I'd start pressing the dealer about it a month or two before it's up with the hope of getting a new case before the CPO expires, and this time getting one that will last.
