Not sure on the diesel, but found the cayenne s was akebono
on my 2015 CS. Very little info online about it, but saw it on one post and on the actual pads. I used stoptech as a replacement and they are noisy with less initial bite.

I didn't think Akebono made pads for the Cayenne. Not listed on Akebono's site. Wish they did though as I have Akebono on both my S4's and they are great for daily use.

I just searched 3 different sites including Akebonobrakes.com and none list Akebono pads for a 2016 Cayenne diesel. If they do sell pads can someone supply Akebono's P/N?

Can't speak to the diesel - but on my CTT - non-ceramic - the TRW's I replaced the stock with were identical in every respect to the stock brake pads. They perform as well, are quiet, and the same amount of brake dust. I found a set (front axle) on an Amazon open-box sale for $30.. can't beat that with a stick!

If you can't find the Cayenne parts number, may I suggest finding a number for the Touareq? It may be close enough.
Also, besides the engine, there is really no difference between the base Cayenne and the CD.

My sister's diesel, if she changes the pads right now; she can avoid a rotor and sensor change. And assuming the compound is identical; nothing needs to be done to even the rotor surface - maybe some liberal brake cleaner is all
