Adding the repair cost to salvage value can get you to the “totaled” number. Body shops will not tell you this.

certified Porsche repair shop
I believe ecostellodo meant did a "certified" Porsche repair shop do the repairs? (listed on this site / in this program)
Porsche Approved Collision Center Program
https://www.porschecollisioncenter.com/
not sure it / how the semantics matter
maybe certified repaired shops just paid a lot of money to get listed?

I am so lucky my 2013 CD got totaled when someone pulled out in front of me this summer. I was really worried I would have to deal with this. I was even more lucky that insurance paid me $31K for a car that I paid $26K for 2.5 years ago. Although I did have to buy another at the worst possible tie, but happy to have a 2016 CD, even if I had to come out of pocket a good amount.

Resurrecting this thread to get some info.
My '15 has been in the shop all summer, mostly waiting for parts (and then waiting again after the wrong ones came from Germany twice). It's now in paint and re-assembly. Pretty minor hit to to the rear hatch, but the bill is about $16K.
Repair is being done by Precision Imports in Denver, so a Porsche dealer/certified Porsche body shop. What is the impact of that option in the Porsche world? I know it's good, of course, but does it reduce the scarlet letter of a repaired vehicle if done by a Porsche dealer/certified shop?
How did you negotiate for the $2500 diminished value with the insurance company?

I should have it back within a week, finally. It's been there since mid-June.

Definitely no frame damage. Slow speed hit that caved in the rear tailgate. It, along with the struts, tub liner and parts, rear lights and bumper and cover were replaced. All with OEM Porsche parts. And repaired by not just a Porsche certified shop, but a Porsche dealer.

Final repair bill is over $19 K. And that's not including the rental car I've had for a bit over 2 months.
I think I'm finally getting it back Monday, though. Yay!

Got it back yesterday. Wow, they did a nice job!
It's quieter than before I took it in, with all the new parts and tolerances are perfect. None of those 6 year old vehicle squeaks and rattles. And it even has that new car smell again!
I had plasti-dipped the rear badges (Porsche and Cayenne). They replaced them with black OEM lettering. Guess it's time to do the diesel badges now.
All in all, I'm impressed with Prestige Imports collision center in Lakewood, CO. They have one part held up in customs; the tub cover in the back. The original one is still in there, but they're sending me the new one once it arrives. I'm OK with that as I had the time to go get the car yesterday and didn't know when I would again.
