That doesn't work..

My way takes you to the site and I can input a vin but the information that it comes back with is, well, pretty no valuable information like it used to have.

I noticed the same recently. EZ vin decoder has always been this way for Audi and other makes, but Porsche entries would always return a decent amount of info to include the option codes/content. But the past few days, not the case anymore with Porsche. It’s now the same as the other makes.

Seems they’ve cut it back for some reason. Is it a subscription service or something like that?

Eskimo1 is right. I just tried it and it worked for me. Just change the "https:" to "http:" and follow the instructions below. I can't take the credit for the following instructions since I pulled it off the internet somewhere.

You will need a valid, complete VIN #.

1. Copy and Paste this link in your Browser:

http://admin.porschedealer.com/repor...print.php?vin=[enter VIN here for the car you want to view the build sheet]

2. In the browser link bar, replace REMOVE THE BRACKETS "[ ]"WHEN YOU ENTER THE VIN and replace ALL OF THE TEXT between the brackets, with the valid VIN of the car you want to look-up

3. Hit return

4. A Print window appears in your browser - you can see the build sheet, but you want to hit "Cancel" button

5. You can then save or print the Build Sheet image that appears in your browser....!

You must be doing something wrong. I just tried it again and it worked for me. Unless your asking for something different than what I'm doing. Here's the link exactly how I put it it for my car.

http://admin.porschedealer.com/repor...print.php?vin=

ENTER YOUR OWN VIN NUMBER AFTER THE = SIGN. Don't include any spaces. I know you know but it doesn't hurt to remind folks that vin numbers don't use the letter "o". Instead, it's always the number "0".

I noticed that on one of my computers, even when I delete the "s" for "https:", it would automatically add it back in. Then I used my iPhone and just typed in "http:" and it worked.

If you want to message me your VIN, I'll try to do it as described and somehow send it back to you.

When you say ”it works”, is it giving you the full list of optional equipment and codes? Yeah, for me it still ‘works’ in that it accepts the VIN and returns some info, but not nearly as much as it used to (no options list).

So I think we may have different definitions for ‘it works’?

It's basically a build sheet with all your cars optional equipment. I'll try to add a picture as an attachment.

I just did one for Trio using his car's VIN and it worked. I sent him the full link and it opened up fine on his computer. But he has a point. Perhaps there is an ad blocker running in the background of some of our computers that's stopping this from working. Or, perhaps a printer driver issue since when I open it up on my iPhone, it automatically opens up a "Print" screen that I have to close out of before I see the document. Try using an iPhone instead of a computer and see if that works.

Thanks, but that’s not from the EZ VIN decoder website. EZ VIN decoder is still not displaying options like it used to.

Here, try this one everyone........ http://vinanalytics.com/
