So, looking to find my odd steering vibrations I checked the engine torque strut in my 11 S.
1 - this part is plastic.
2 - my previous 04 S I replaced the same part, it was metal on the 955. And almost everyone winds up replacing these, so surprised to see the construction look flimsier.
3 - I could easily manipulate it side to side with my finger tips
So, I ordered a new one. But not easy to find. You can find the 955 Gen part everywhere. I could only find this one at an atlanta p car dealer or ECS where I ordered.
This is really a part I wish an aftermarket place would make an upgraded version of with either threaded rod ends or stiffer polyurethane bushings. You look at how flimsy this part is compared to many other engine torque struts from many other Manufacturers and you can see why it goes bad.
Will update once I get part and install. Takes all of about 10 minutes.
Here is a video I found of someone showing what goes bad.

I finally popped in the new one.
My old one had the exact same failure mode as one in video. The bushing looked fine, but once removed you could easily spin it and feel the side to side movement.
This did reduce the vibration I was feeling in my gas pedal.
So, I recco most folks check theirs. My 2011 only has 64k on it.
