Default AH08 recall include oil change?

I just bought a 2011 S and it is going in for the recall repair.

Anyone know if they will drain the oil as part of this?

i don’t want to pay for an oil change if it will be part of the procedure.

Hi - Welcome to Cayenne ownership. We have a special forum dedicated to the 958 series Cayenne (and that's what you own.) I'm moving your query over there.

I can only answer in my case yes - but mine required engine R&R and disassembly and reassembly. Dunno if that's normally done for AH08, but some people put up copies of their work orders - so looking at those should answer that question for you. We have a sticky thread all about Variocam bolts..

Mine went in for the AH08 recall a bit over a month ago. Since they only replaced the bad bolts there was no oil change so if you need one either DIY or expect to pay for it.

So there you have it.. I'd be more comfortable with an oil change after the engine is opened up, but I guess if they work carefully and neatly.. it may not be needed.

They removed the oil pan for my recall since I had bolts fail. Installed new oil pan and didn’t reset service light or change filter. Had to go back for oil change 1500 miles later.

I felt the same so when I had the AH08 recall done, I had the dealer do an oil change after that on my dime (actually I still have a couple free oil changes left at my dealer). All good.

Just had mine done about a month ago, paid for by dealer due to recall. No oil change included.
