How long does it take for your oil to get up to temp?
2012 Cayenne S. On cold Northeast mornings it can take 20-30 minutes for oil to reach temp.. which is just about my whole commute. I guess it takes a while to bring the 9+ quarts of oil up to temp

It all depends. In the winter, now, it might take 30 minutes when driving in the city. When it is warm out it might take 10 minutes.
The answer is, it depends. It is like asking how long it takes one to jerk-off.

I would say it takes my Cayenne about 20-30 minutes to reach oil temp in these Minnesota winters. Yesterday, it reached a whopping 35 degrees and it took about 15 minutes of city driving to hit temp.

I put mine in Manual and try to keep it at 2,500 rpm until the oil reaches around 185F to 200F. In the summer that's under 10 minutes. In winter it's more like 20 minutes. "Sport" mode holds down the engine oil temp to 195F so I avoid sport mode until the engine oil is hot however I've never done a test to see if the oil warms up slower in Sport Mode (probably does not).
