Lightbulb 2017 Cayenne GTS (958.2) secondary CAT bypass

Dear ALL,

I have recently purchased one 2017 Cayenne GTS (958.2), I have noticed that there are two secondary CATs which restrict the exhaust sound of this V6T engine. May I ask who has released the bypass pipe for this model?

So far I have seen Fabspeed released one, how are these straight pipes? Are there any other choices for better sound? Thank you so much!

Best,

Li

Welcome to the forum. I'm going to move your post over to the 958 subforum where it's much more likely you'll get an answer.

Hang on..

Hey Li--congrats on your new GTS! You are astutely correct in that the secondary cats are redundant and restrictive, and limit the sound and performance of your engine. Eliminating them is a simple and cost-effective way to gain performance and add a unique sound to your Cayenne. Removal of the secondary cats results in a throatier and deeper exhaust note. You also get to enjoy more burbles and backfires throughout the overrun. I have a few sets of these Secondary Catbypass Pipes in stock and ready to ship as well! Don't let me tell you about the impact they have on your car when you can simply witness it yourself though... check it out!

This video gives a great comparison between the stock valves open/closed and our Secondary Catbypass Pipes valves open/closed. You also get a few pull-offs and closeups of the tailpipes for detailed sound clips. Cheers!

Hey 987part! Thanks for jumping in here. Did we have a chance to work together to get this ordered for you? Hard to tell with RL screen names and all. I'll shoot over a PM so we can chat directly! : )

The nature of the engine definitely may have something to do with it, but the video above in this thread shows the great sound that is released from freeing up that restriction from the secondary cats. The ECU may take a few miles to adapt to the change in the system, but you will notice the additional power!

Is that with or without PSE? I have yet to hear these on a Cayenne S 3.6TT without PSE.

I've come close to pulling the trigger on these but received a lot of feedback that made me reconsider. It's a lot of time and money for something that may not pay a lot of dividends, if any.

Should have read the You Tube header. See it has PSE.

So, still waiting to hear a non PSE car with the pipes installed.
