Maybe the next one will be a diesel.... or a Turbo. I've got about 4 or 5 years before I'll have to make that call.
2012 CTT PCM indicates 17.9 mpg. Not complaining as even w a 4.8 TwinTurbo it beats my old 4.0 V6 Pathfinder at 17.0 (99% 2WD driving)

Mostly highway driving, non-sport mode. Maybe I should have gotten a diesel.

18 is still plenty considering what the vehicle is.

Far better than the 11mpg my semi-useless F150 got.

Having to run south today. First stop at about 200 miles with an average speed of 78 and mpg of 30.5

Given my usual around town numbers, it was funny to watch the distance to empty estimation keep adding miles for the first 120 miles

Been awhile since I've done a road trip and I'd forgotten just how much these things like to travel!

Rolls like a freight train on the highway, just blasts along, smooth as can be... at 90+. With plenty of passing power still on tap. Even dips at bridges or pavement changes just get leveled out by the PASM.

I continue to be just a tad disappointed that diesel wasn't an option when I bought. Not enough to bail on the '17 GTS, but it'd have been nice to have gotten one.

Even the steal suspension does pretty nice. I seem to be pulling just about 200 miles at a time with no issues.

Now at 390 miles for this trip and the avg speed has bumped up to an even 80 and mpg is at 31 now

Damn I love this P!g

I just did a big trip last weekend that CD just hauled **s. When you are travelling far in excess of "fast ball" speed with complete confidence and comfort and the organic speed detection device (wife) sitting in the passenger seat doesn't mind- all is good. What a machine. 80mph average is impressive.

With my 2012 CTT around town and some highway, I'm seeing combined/average 15.8 MPG. Wish it were more, but I rarely am less than 10 MPH over the speed limit on highways (more sensitive to the speed limit on city roads).

Highway mileage with the CD is awesome. 60 mph returns 39 mpg calculated, 65 mph returns 35 mpg calculated. Around town is in the low 20s. My previous SUV was a 4 cylinder Highlander where I was appalled to never get more than 26 mpg.
The CD window sticker says 29 mpg highway.

I miss the diesel mileage of the Touareg but really like the CGTS go power. Averaging 21 mpg over all the past 5k miles. This includes the drive home from Virginia where I purchased the CGTS. Much of the driving is rural highways and interstates. Not much around town as retirement has greatly changed the daily routine.

huh, the 2017 has a very different display than my 2011

Funny story: i bought a iphone for the turbo because i wanted to be able to transfer music to it wirelessly. Bought a old iphone on craigslist but the iphone 4s i bought was "too new" for the turbo to recognize it properly most of the time, I had to go buy a old iphone 4 to get a iOS old enough for it to recognize

Had to take a little road trip for work yesterday, averaged 24.2. Mostly highway and backroads. Some farm town slowdowns and traffic, and hitting metro Detroit rush hour.

Going to have to see what I start getting after the new wheels and tires go on in the next week or so.

Drove back from our cabin in northern PA today. Mostly country roads, a few miles on dirt forest roads, and about 50 miles highway. I have been checking with each fill-up in anticipation of any "fix", and it is always around 30 mpg. You can't beat a diesel for a trip.

I did a 1100 mile trip in 15 hours back in June. My cousin flew in from South Africa for the day so we met up in Atlanta for lunch lol. We were together for less than 4 hours.

Raleigh NC->Nags Head NC->Atlanta Ga->Raleigh NC.

Travel Time - 15h:15m
Distance - 1,096 miles
Consumption 20.8 mpg
Avg Speed - 72 mph (was well over 100 in places)

I was quite surprised although I did have to stop 4 times for gas. I got used to the bigger tanks on the F150 and Suburban, can get well over 600 miles on a tank from them.

If I can ever find another place to host pics, i'll post the PCM screen.
