Default Cayenne S Radiator Fan Not Shutting Off

A 2004 Cayenne S Radiator Fan is Not Shutting Off and killing the battery.
After researching it sounds like a new fan assembly is required to fix the problem. Does anyone know if I can pull the fuse to this fan and drive under normal operating conditions until I get the replacement without it overheating or causing additional damage?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Trick question?

You can only pull the fuse after parking your car and shutting off the engine. You'll also have to reinsert the fuse before starting the engine and driving off.

Did I pass?

Angry Bummer - But Thanks 4 Info

Thanks for the quick response Andy this was helpful. Sorry for the ridiculous Q! I have not run into this problem before and since I am considering a purchase of a Cayenne with this problem and I do not have access to it I was considering my options. The dealer has not been as helpful or forthcoming as I had hoped. It looks like I will be rethinking the purchase.

Don't drive with the fuse removed. You'll risk an overheat at the first bit of traffic or anytime driving less than about 25mph.

Wait, you're looking at a used one on a lot, that already HAS this problem? And the dealer selling it isn't fixing it?

How deep a hole are you prepared to make in your wallet? Think 'crater on the moon' not 'divot on the green'. At the very least have it thoroughly inspected at a local indy porsche shop. Otherwise you're asking for a potential world of pain.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as up for a challenge as anyone else, but I'd want to have my eyes open regarding the costs. Could be a real gem, and an inspection by a local independent Porsche shop would help confirm that.

I'm almost 100% sure its problem in main 4 pin connector. If its running all the time than you have problem with communication, so you could cut two tin wires from connector and put them together without connector.
