I don't have any pics but i can tell you that you'll know if something is catching. Just pull the cover straight up. There should be no catch at the back where the tabs are located. Comes off very easily. If you pull at an angle, you can catch these tabs.

Does anyone have a good picture of the metal cam tabs for the timing, that can be easily broken off?
Im going to attempt this job, my passenger side is leaking near the front, not smoking but smelling for sure. LiquiMoly oil saver didnt do anything.
I have a feeling its leaking at the front where some of you have mentioned you need to apply some RTV/sealant. Guessing thats the week point.
Thanks in advance

Thanks 957austin, yes, I should have looked up cam pics, but wasnt sure if on the cam itself, attached to it, around it, etc. but thanks.
I can see how these might get damaged, but cant they be bent back if accidently done?
Is there clearance to properly lift the covers off without damaging them, or is and engine out valve cover change the only way to ensure straight up cover removal?
Ill be extra careful, now that I know, the beauty of this forum. Im gonna tackle this after winter, if I can stand the smell that long!
