Default Suspension Control Module 2004 CTT warning-faulty CM

Hi all just wanted to document repairs/update as I go down my CTT ownership path.

I had the yellow warning coming on and off, bought the gasket rebuilt kit from bagpipe andy on Ebay. It remained on with the Red Suspension Warning taking over fully. I rebuilt the compressor and then still could not clear the suspension error so I took it to a local shop with a PIWIS as my Indy said it's too much electronics to chase without P insight.

The local shop was very nice, hooked it up to the PIWIS, then said the Module is shot, that the dealer only parts are 2k, and OEM/Dealer recommends replace the entire system.

Local shop said give a few salvage yards a call, lqk? etc. I looked at the Cayenne dismantler in California and they did not have the pre 93465 VIN part I required.

Order 7L0907553E VolksWagen SCM off Ebay. You need to watch as audi/vw/later cayenne models all seem to have different units, I am about to find out how experimental I can go on these .

More to follow if I get it to work or additional solutions/errors/updates.

PS, does anyone know if someone can service these or refurb them? I would love to limp by on the replacement but send this off for updating if possible?

That is the original error at my mechanic.....I went over to LuxuryAW where my other buddy is the Ptech and he ran the PIWIS on it.

VW made these specific to Cayenne and are even limited by VINs. I found the unit #'d above is the one they use up through 2004 93465 VINS...the next one F go from 93465 and up....... I think I could technically get away with minimal use because the Touareg versions are coded higher, but apparently have different functionality.

The Ptech said try for salvage part before we go crazy bc I might just do coil overs.

My system is fine.....the Control Module is shot. Just sent these guys a note http://www.aesmodules.com/porsche-repair

And the entire system is a dealer only part, therefore there are no single Control Modules to replace, you replace the Control module, all air struts, and valves for about 2k plus labor.

I am not sure the Arnott comes with Control module itself, it's just strut/valve/compressor replacement.

Arnott has coil over conversion, then I think it tricks the system or you go have it coded off.

10:49 is where they bypass the Air Suspension Control Module

Ordered the exact part from salvage CTT in California. Plugged it in and it instantly started working and all warnings cleared.

I will assume this is one time get out of jail free card for a simple repair on a complex system.

Appreciate Mr. Haney for reaching out and helping me, happy to link up and owe you a

Keys hmmm... I have an uncut key from my 2006 base I sold. I can get the locksmith to cut it to my 2004, and then get the transponder from suncoast that comes without the blade.

Before doing so, do you have a recommended full key blank source for 2004's if my idea above seems incorrect.
