OK, I have established the fact that I need a brake controller. Does anyone have experience with RF brake controllers to avoid wiring issues?
This is the rig, the flooring, etrack, Weigh Safe hitch and other goodies are being installed...

i have the prodigy RF and have used it for 3 years. 4 screws to mount onto your trailer. Plug the unit into your cigarette lighter and it takes 3-5 minutes to pair it up. It has a way of calibrating, totally adjustable and even has a manual function. I have been very pleased with mine. I don’t tow anything like that rig. I have a 22’ steel open trailer with racecar.

The obvious limitation of a Cayenne for towing an enclosed trailer is the lack of rear visibility from a relatively narrow vehicle. The strap-on mirrors don't really do the job. While towing a 20' X 8.5' trailer I kept wishing for extendible mirrors like those on a Ford 350. My son installed a rear-facing camera above the back ramp with a wireless transmitter to the navigation system on his Cayenne to deal with highway traffic.

Thanks Miamirice and Rod Croskery for the advise. I'll incorporate both!
