My friend has the Fabspeed pipes on his CTT, I have the old style HHR pipes on my CTTS. Volume between the two is very similar, mine seems to have a touch more rasp than his.
The volume on all of these non resonated bypass pipes should be about the same. If you've had them before and didn't like the volume I doubt that will have changed.
I am curious to see what peoples impressions are of the flashes, whether they can feel it in daily driving, that the dealer PIWIS can still communicate with the ECU's etc. Seems like very few people on the board here have flashed their CTTS'
I'd love to know how the tune affects real world performance, Fabspeeds or EVOMSit or other. I dig into my throttle a lot, really the only way to keep the turbos spooled and enjoy the acceleration, either keep it in manual or turn off PSM and end up flooring it in 1st and 2nd quite a bit, so if the tunes work, it should make a difference for me.
HHR says the resonated pipes specifically address that rasp if not the overall volume so much, which is only 50% for me.
They also agree that selling them privately makes the most sense if I don't like them.
I have the Eurocharged tune along with Fabspeed secondary Cat bypasses and it's pretty good on a '06 CTTS. The Eurocharged tune doesn't make much more power (don't think there is much more to be made on a CTTS with the same engine and Turbos as the regular CTT) but there is a little more noticeable power along with a much better throttle response.
