Can someone PLEASE tell me how to remove the large hose on top of the vacuum pump? It has the plastic thing around the end of the hose. I am in the middle of replacing my vacuum pump now.

Honestly, I do not know. I don't drive it much. I will have to check w/ my wife to see if she found any difference (I doubt she'll )

Edit: Asked my wife if she noticed anything driving it today. All she said was it drove smoother and was idling better.

It's pretty common for the coil packs to crack and yours need replacing. Porsche's quality for plastics during this time was laughable (coolant pipes, T's, etc). Porsche has sense come out with several revisions of the coils to help alleviate the problem. I think the latest revision for the coil packs ends in .06 but don't quote me. Good luck!
