Default CTT Wheel Options

Guys,

Thinking of potentially move to 20" Sport Techno's commonly seen on CTTS.

Question - how much should I expect to pay for a straight set? I looked at Ebay completed listings and it ranges from $800+

Do you know if there are any other Porsche applications for the same wheels (I did a search and it seems the 997 also had Sport Techno wheels, but unclear if they're the same).

I was looking for some 20" wheels also and I just missed a set of these with good tires for $500 on CL.

Wow, yeah I think you did miss out on those for $500! I'm kind of stuck as I have good tires on mine, but would love the Techno's on my Turbo. If I end up getting them, maybe I'll throw my OEM turbo wheels with good tires on here

I am also considering 20" Sport Technos for my 955 CTT - don't like the ride on the 22's it came with.

I have never bought used wheels off ebay. Anyone have tips on how to protect yourself that the wheels are legit (Porsche vs. Chinese knockoff) and not so mangled they can't be straightened?

I went from Stock 19" rims on my 06 TTS to 22" Turbo II Replicas and find the ride to be pretty much the same. I have 285/35/22 Toyos and was surprised at the smoothness and quality of the ride compared to the 19's on Blizzaks. I think that the tire size makes a difference, am very happy with going to 22's in spite of what others have said about the ride quality. Plus the 22's fill out the wheel wells way better and look more proportioned to me. All comes down to personal preference on looks and ride. Oh, and to give more info on my set, the rims came off a Panamera 22"x10", I put the Toyo Proxes from a Range Rover on them and they look and feel great, only paid $400 for the rims and the tires were free. All I had to do was buy a set of aftermarket TPMS for $60 and they work perfectly.

I love the look of 22" on the CTT and with the right Tires and right Tires size they should be fine, but once you lower the CTT a great deal and mix that with 22" on bad roads its not so great.

I've got a set of 20"RS spiders that I'll sell. Only 20k miles on them as there is only 20k on my CTT.

Looks like I may be picking them up if I can actually fit them in my car. Will post with pictures if I end up getting them.
