Default No heat on driver's side!? Heats fine on passenger side.

955 CTT.

I searched and all the topics seem to be related to AC not blowing cold or a dealer installing a part wrong.

Now that it's gotten a bit cooler outside here we have noticed that we only get cold air from the driver's side and heat from the passenger side.

Heater flap? Search wasn't bringing up any similar topics for me?

Or driver's side temp sensor?

If anyone knows the solution or a link to reading on it, it would be appreciated.

Most likely a dead blend door servo on one or both sides.

Hi. This just happened to me this morning too. Any new thoughts or experiences?
Ice cold from my side but heat from the right side. Sucks that on the 955 there's only one common fan speed.
Is there a hot water valve like on my old BMWs? Hope not because I sure didn't see one when I had everything apart to replace the plastic pipes under the intake.

Hello everybody. I would like to jump into this discussion.

Recently I had to change all water hoses at the backside of the engine , including the T hose which is a very difficult work. Shop did it. Same time water pump was replaced
New coolant.
and now, no warm / hot air is coming from the blower. What it could be. I have already asked the mechanic. He told me during test drive it worked well.

i checked codes, nothing
checked coolant level, ok

any help is welcome

Check the valve that controls cold air into the glove box. If the valve fails, it blows cold air into the cabin.

Didn’t have a chance to crawl under the dash to find the valve. Have checked with my simple iCarsoft OBD scanner again. Found in the air condition section 2 codes. No glue what the codes want to tell me. Can’t find in any database.

P3130 and 1616 (Signal line to cabin)

Default I think one of our tiny elves died.

Ever since I bought my car a year or so ago, I could here a bunch of them behind the dash diligently doing there thing to regulate the temperature of the air in real time.
I noticed it was only if I had the temp somewhere in the middle between low and high temperature. It is now eerily silent.

If you read this post (scroll down and ignore the suggestions about freon) I think the little mechanisms and motors fail. I haven't done the research yet as far as the parts lists, but if I figure it out I'll report back.

Here's what I came up with.

I think I need #7 below, Electric motor & Temperature mixing flap, Left.
Not much good news looking for 95562490701, but from the advice of Rod Croskery in the post above, the ones for later years are better designed.
And there are tons of them for $20 on ebay.

Touareg Part #s are:

7L0907511AK Left Side

7L0907511AL Right Side

I bought one just now and will report back any issues.

Did that part ever work out for you? I'm going through the same thing. Can you tell me how to access this part?
Thank you in advance! JD

Regrettably, the part is still resting on a table where I left it. My symptoms are not very noticeable, and I barely drove anywhere last winter.
There is info on how to get to it on this site somewhere...

Default Need assistance to gain access to actuators

Well I now join the club...only cold air coming out of the drivers side so I believe I need the #3 motor. When I change temp on the passenger side and listen very closely I can hear a motor moving. When changing temp on the drivers side kind of an intermittent click. This said have the drivers side lower panels off but still cannot for the life of me figure out what to remove next to gain access to the actuator motors. As those here know...they are way up there and burried! My ask is for guidance on how to simply gain access to this area so I can do additional testing and get the failed part(s) replaced. Many thanks in advance.
