Default Tire Size Question- 2006 Cayenne Titanium Edition - Correct/Acceptable Tire Sizes?

Hi guys, needs some new tires for my 2006 Cayenne Titanium Edition and I am getting a little confused. Currently installed are 275/45/R19 and to replace that size is going to be pricey. I know they are a few other sizes that will fit this car, but struggling to identify them. The Titanium does have TMPS.

Does anyone else know what other tire sizes that will work without any problems? Google searches seem to indicate 255/50/R19 will work but I do not want to order tires, have them arrive - and then find out this actually won't work.

Thanks for the help!

Need to know which rims you have and what size they are. Then you can look it up or call any reputable tire shop.

I have the stock Titanium Edition rims - 19″ diameter, 9″ width. Does that help? The two tire places I have called say they can just see the 275/45/R19 but I have been told other sizes will work - but it was a long time ago and can't remember who told me that, so now I am struggling to find the information.

Example: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Select...Clar=With+TPMS

The 255/50/R19 size shown here would be significantly cheaper for me, I have found some good deals. I just want to be 100% sure before I order online and thought someone here could verify? Does it seem to you like the 255/50/R19 will work?

That's what I did. I bought 255 50 19 Sumitomo from tire rack and put 15k on them since, they still look newish! I might get 30-40k out of these. But these Sumitomo do ride hard, especially I do not have air suspension. My theory is hard rubber = last longer but less performance. Since I drive like a granny and my cayenne is just a daily, these tires are fine for my needs.

But would I get these Sumitomo again, probably not. But no doubt I would get this size because of the price and availability. Even here in SoCal, I couldn't find a local shop that had 275 45 19 in stock when I needed replacement. And Porsche knows this is not a common size so 255 50 19 is an alternative size as stated in owners manual.

Awesome. Just needed confirmation of this. Duh I cannot believe I did not look for this in the manual and see it.

Thank you - will order mine now. Found a decent price on the 255 50 19. Like you said, the stick 275 45 19 is mega expensive since there are just not many out there...

Consider the Continental DWS.. price is much better than Michelin, they last much longer and are decent for an all-season tire. If you don't need an all-season, I believe they make some UHP tires also.
