Default "Stuttering" steering...?

We are having a roadtrip in Europe and I notise when I park having to turn the wheel standing still, the steeringwheel stutters.... you can hear and feel its uneven in its movement.

I have to add that the steering seem also abit heavy at times.... but its suttle diffrences. Then I had a look at the belt running the pump and its worn and cracked... culd this be the culpit of my problems? Maby the belt slips at times? I had similar on.my Corvette C5 and that was worn serpentine belts...

Possible?

It's normal; depends on the road surface and tire type. More apt to happen on smooth surfaces like polished concrete.

And type of tire used. The wider and stickier, the more it's gonna stutter

Very normal. Porsche tried to fix my '06 Tit/S - replaced the power steering pump, steering reservoir, steering rack. Nothing changed. It may be partly the rubber mounts the steering rack is held to the frame with - but whatever - after replacing most everything, my '06 still did it. Never caused a problem. My '11 CTT doesn't do it.

For another data point, I'm using a 2016 loaner from the dealership today and tomorrow. With only 4400 miles on it, it stutters in this manner in all the same spots my 04 with 175k miles does. Garage floor, driveway, work parking lot. Chalk it up to super wide and sticky tires under a lot of weight.

Caveat... if it is excessive and feeling it at higher speeds, definitely have it checked out.

I've noticed this in the Cayenne's I tested recently. One thing I noted is the front end moved side to side like the wheels are offset from the pivot point. I think this coupled with very wide tires would cause this.
