Default Out of town. Need assistance.

Travelled out of town last two days in rain. Last night passenger foot well soaked. I searched on this site but cant see pics of the actual hose in the wheel well. I took the wheel well liner loose and see a couple of different hoses. I see a narrow one coming down past the window cleaner hose and another thicker one more into the wheel well. I dont want to screw something up. Pics would be great or a better explanation. I checked the hvac drain and nothing drained out. I even put a hangar through the hole and it came out on the other side of the firewall. No blockage there I guess. I do have a pano roof. How can I check the roof drains? What do i do? Out of town needing help.

Where are you? That might be helpful if RLsters are in the area.

I'm in Warner Robins, GA. Pics would be great. I looked behind the liner but cant tell which is the drain. I saw a narrow rubber tube running by the windshield cleaner but nothing came out of it. Where is this roof drain exactly that runs in this area?

Sorry, I'm about 9 hours from Macon. I have no experience (fortunately) with the drainage issues you mentioned. Wish I could help more.

Did you read the thread posted above? That is a good place to start.

Someone please help me to understand. When i look into the passenger wheel well, where should the drain be? Looking in the well should it be to the left (closest to the firewall), straight ahead (closest to the engine) or to the right (toward front of car)?

Drain will be in the farthest, hardest to reach area, that should not surprise you. Peel back the liner at the point shown in the first picture.

Prop it open like in the second picture with Porsche tool 2X4

Then use a stick or something to poke at the drain circled in red

Good luck, I hope it all works out.

Glad to hear it was helpful, we all need to do this sooner or later.
I'd bet it drains slowly and two days of heavy rain was too much but it's probably been building up for a long time.
Many others here are likely in the same situation waiting for a heavy rain=thats why I checked.

Found it. The drain hose was not connected to the actual sunroof drain! Huh? I pulled the headliner down and the hose was sitting beside the sunroof drain that it was supposed to be connected to.

I'd still get underneath and clean out the cowl drains shown in those pictures. They drain the area under the windshield wipers. When those areas fill with enough water, it overflows into the HVAC intake and floods the car. Bad.

Pull the rubber grommets out, reach your fingers in and clean out. Then reinstall the grommet. I've chosen to leave the grommets out for now to prevent clogs. I clean this area now once per year.

While looking for the correct grommet, I pulled every one I could see in the passenger wheel well (all the ones in the wheel well on the firewall side). In the pic above, I didn't have one in the exact spot as in the pic but I pulled every one I could see. Is there more to do?
