You've obviously been doing a lot of research. How many Cayennes have you seen for sale with over 160K miles?
I'm sure someone will now chime in on how they know of Cayennes with 200K miles...yep, and I know of Pintos with 300K miles but that's the ultra rare exception.
I feel your pain since we both have a CS. But I see no reason that a vast majority of turbos will not last well over 200k miles. That being said I don't think our OP should be seduced by the lure of a that turbo-s unless it has had the front end refreshed (control arms, end links, tie rods, sway bushings), new fuel pumps, coils and plugs, transmission/diff/xfer case service, serpentine belt, etc. A cayenne at 130k will definitely suck some money down if that stuff hasn't been done.

These cars are very durable and dependable, but have astronomical costs for the repairs that may come with high mileage; drive train, air suspension, aging accessories, etc. When any exotic model starts appearing frequently at "Honest Al's Used Cars", the bloom is off the rose.

Bought my 06 TT-S with 140k a year ago. Just hit 150k last week. No regrets except the black color! Bought all the brake parts front and back in April but just put them on last week. I planned on doing them sooner, however they have lasted much longer than expected and they still had life in them. For my the condition and service history for the last 100k made it easy to pull the trigger.

I would not buy one with out service records unless it was way below market value.

Ps the white one posted looks amazing!

On the car in Villa Park, IL (Chicago). The carfax shows that it was sold by Suncoast Porsche in Sarasota when new, serviced 25 times in 121K miles, then sold again by the same dealership and serviced there another 4 times including tires and recommended maintenance. The first owner clocked over 17k miles per year the first 7 years and had it serviced regularly. If I knew someone up there I would have them go look at it.

If only someone here knew the seller! I have looked at yours multiple times, I just can't do the rear mount tire.

Can anyone recommend where to get a PPI in or around SF? I've got my nephew eyeballing an 08 CTT for me, hopefully today.

Also, recommendations for shipping quotes?

Wow that one in the link with the rear tire is one rare animal. Very few cayennes have the advanced off-road package plus the power mods. It's a pretty tempting specimen if you can figure out how to remove the tire thing.

No love for the red-headed-stepchild known as "the rear spare"....

Thanks endless. I have had people ask me about removing the rear spare, but to me it looks to be integral to the design of the rear of the car, so even if you could remove it (I'm sure it comes off), you would end up replacing a bunch of other parts, like most of the rear bumper (where one of the hinges and the latch are located). I have a picture showing the rear spare opened, but the site will not let me load it for some reason. I can e-mail it to someone if they can host....

EDIT: Sorry TommyV, not trying to hijack your thread....
