The charger that came with the Cayenne handles 240, just need another outlet. I'm having my electrician come back out to install a second line and a second Evocharge.

Hi, I am looking at getting a CPO Cayenne SEH.
Have you taken your SEH on a long distance road trip since? I imagine you keep in the default hybrid mode? In this case are braking and coasting enough to keep the battery recharged the entire time? Say I am driving 8 hrs from SF to LA, will I have about 16 miles of full charge by the time I arrive in LA traffic?

I'm in Iceland. I remember reading that this was not an OEM option on the original Hybrid, and, yeah, there still seems to be some regions where it's not readily available.
I can't find it on the options list on the Porsche website either.
Not sure why. Different safety regs, perhaps?

Some battery range observations...
Over this week I have been doing a regular commute..
12km predominantly downhill there. The reverse back.
I've also been doing some small runs around town on battery during the day.
As the week has progressed my starting estimated range has been steadily increasing. At the beginning of the week it was 16km. As of today I am at 22km range estimate on a full charge in the morning.
I presume this is the system just learning based on current usage. But interesting, so I thought I'd share it FWIW.

Hi Pete,
I saw you mentioned Carlsen. I am living in bay area as well, and looking for a 2016 C EH,
what is the OTD price for your car? I got a TrueCar quote from Carlsen, it is too good to be true, they offered 9% off nearly 8K off MRSP... Thank you, Peter!

and what was your MSRP? The sticker can easily touch $100k with a few big ticket options. I guess they're willing to do a bigger discount the higher the sticker.

I have done the LA drive from San Jose to Anaheim, and I'm quite impressed with how easily I'm able to charge the entire battery. I was at 4mi of range at the surface street area of 101S/152E. Between the downhill sections of 152E, "sailing" to slow down every time a truck entered the fast lane, and the downhill section of the grapevine, I recovered a full charge (full battery bars and 16mi range) about 20min away from six flags magic mountain. It was perfect to have a full charge for entering LA traffic areas.
