Default HRE wheel center cap bore size

Hello everyone,

Got a quick question for those that have HRE wheels. I am ordering a set of 21" P101 for my 958.2, and regarding the center cap bore, which one would you recommend? The standard HRE, or the Porsche bore? I assume they are different sizes, and by choosing the Porsche bore, that would allow switching back to the Porsche OEM center cap if desired? Which bore size looks better proportionally?

Thank you for the help.

I don't know the dimensions off hand, but when I was ordering my P101's, I was told having the center cap bore spec'd to fit the OEM caps was no small charge. BTW, nice choice for wheels! What finish did you decide on?

For reference, here are both HRE caps (Porsche-sized left):

Hi HOiYa, thanks for the info. I decided to go with the standard bore with billet caps, and it would be in satin charcoal to go with my metallic white car. My wife and I thought about the satin bronze finish at one point, but we are afraid that it would grow old on us quickly, so we went with the safer satin charcoal instead.

Btw, looks like your wheels are finished in brushed dark cleared, which was on my very short list of finishing as well. They look really awesome! However the local HRE dealer told me that it would be hard to repair to the original finishing level (in case of small scrap or cosmetic damage) without sending the wheel back compare to say the satin charcoal finish, so we decided against it. But that finish goes really well with your black car for sure!

Thank you HRE for the info. I decided to go with the standard HRE bore, and can't wait to get the wheels on the car in due course
