Correct. Also the digital indicator in my Cayenne is correct while analog gauge is not. Who knows what goes on in a cubical coder's head?

Apparently, but I haven't ever had to pay that particular fine.

Just 7, 18, and 27 euro speeding fines.

There was also the time that I passed 5 polizei cars on the autobahn, they were at 130kph, and I was at 245ish and it was legal.

That said, it was a little uncomfortable!

No. TUV is speedo only. Odo's are accurate. Check it yourself against 10 kms /miles of delimiters.

All 3 of my Cayennes have read over and the digital has always read the same as the analogue.

My 2012 Cayenne is 1-2 MPH over compared to my Garmin GPS. My old 2000 Suburban, 1-2 MPH over. My old 2002 MB C320, my 2008 Prius, my ex's 2013 Lexus and her 2008 X5. Every one was the same. Every rental car I've had did the same thing too.

Was surprised how far off my new CPO '12 V6 is. Compared to GPS the difference is as much as 5 mph at 75. This is much worse than any car I've ever owned before, including a bunch of Porsches.

At least on surface streets my speedo is always spot on in school zones with the radar speed signs.

I took a cross country trip in my 09 GTS running with a GPS enabled radar detector, My Speedo both analog and digital displayed speeds 4-5 mph slower that my GPS detector!! I was very supersized. Not a good thing!! But very glad to know!!

I'm resurrecting (reinvigorating?) this thread to ask how to use the Garmin portable GPS I've been carrying around in the trunk for a number of years to determine my actual speed. It's been so long since I've used it I will have to plug it in to see if it still works and hope there is a user guide somewhere.

I just traded the 2004 CS I bought new in 2004 for a new 2016 base and interpolating from the way I'm being passed by other cars on the expressways I travel every day I'm guessing that the Cayenne's speedometer is displaying at least 5mph high at 65-70 mph.
