May be the culprits are the current tires, i.e.: "mix" conti !

All my excuses to be off topic, as this is nothing about V8 na v.s. V6T !!

..where I would also love to read from someone that has good experience with both.

Imo, air suspension give a much comfier ride, particularly in Comfort mode, this beside keeping allways the car to a flat level, whatever you tow or how you take curves.
My current problem with our CTT is that it is always rough as if it would have a "normal" suspension ! (recently, I did few hundred miles with a CD (base, no air suspension) and felt that it was quite rough.
