Where are the brakes at? Keep in mind that CTTS rotors will cost ya.

My 2005 CTT PPI came back with the same "leaky turbo" diagnosis. I ignored that, spent a couple dollars and a couple hours to replace the pressure pipe o-ring, and all is well.

The suspension not working would scare me away without a diagnosis from a dealer and a quote on parts.

Good luck.

With the air suspension fault and needing tires, I wouldn't pay more than $13k. Just go look up how much air struts are; I think $1300 per corner or something?

Time and time again those deals that seem too good to be true almost always are. I'm not saying I don't believe in unicorns, just that they are rare.

This. Or invest in a durametric cable and do it on the spot and get the price down by a lot. There will be a lot of fault codes. My cables( also have ross tech) have paid for themselves over and over.

Looks like it has the boost gauge on the right. But could you even buy a turbo without the nav? And who would?

OK, back to the CTTS...

The dealership says they fixed the headlight and air suspension. Yeah, right...

However! The inspector I hired had to go back out to the same place to look at a BMW, so the salesman nabbed him and let him test everything out. He called this morning, and verified. Says the car drives fantastically, and that his changes his recommendation to a buy (at that price)

I also talked them 'down' - to 15,955 (for luck)

So, we have oily turbo pipes, and an air suspension warning at one time that is gone now.

I'm thinking of getting the compressor rebuild kit, the $5 o-ring, and rolling the dice, thinking at this price, I have some reserves to get it sorted (tires!) and for future problems

Am I nuts? Have I gotten fixated on the car such that I ignore good advice? Probably...

That's not a Turbo. All Turbos have a full color center display. It also doesn't have a full-leather dash, which is standard on a Turbo.

That's not the one I was looking at, John Welch suggested it as an alternative. The one I'm looking at has the full-leather dash and center display.

I've seen a ton of Cayennes mislabeled in ads, either due to dealer "error" or previous owners playing with the badges, so I was careful to run the VIN and get the build sheet. The one I'm looking at is a genuine Turbo S.

$16k seems like a good price for a genuine Turbo S. Did the suspension definitely not work, or did it just show the warning. I know these things can give some spurious errors when the battery is on it's way out.

Not sure on that exactly - the car is 1000 miles from me which makes this difficult. I do know that it is working now, and had that independently verified. So, maybe something that needs looking into, but not a catastrophic failure. If I bought the cleanest one out there at the highest price, it could still develop the same issue in 6 months. Or so I tell myself...

So, I'm going through with it. Thank you everybody for helping me think it out and pointing out potential issues. In the end, I really wanted a Turbo S, so my options are limited. I've learned from Rennlist and others to be patient and look around, but I'm not one of those guys that can wait a year! A month of searching is about all I can take. I've got things to tow!

Thanks for all the help! Now, to get the thing transported here...
