Default Cayenne Gen 2 Buying Advice

Hi All,

Im about to buy a 2008 Cayenne Gen 2 for general family haulage. I've read a variety of reviews and everyone tends to point at the 4.8S as being the better model and having air suspension a must.

My dilemma is - Do I buy a fully loaded higher mileage model with say 80-90K miles with good history low owners etc or go for a lower mileage less equipped model maybe even a 3.6 but with say 45-50K?

Thanks in advance!

I've got similar questions, and wondering where the trouble spots might be to look for/address?

Are there years/models to look for - or specifically avoid? I am not hung-up on any particular year, but looking for under 70k mi.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

Gen 2 was only sold in the U.S. for 3 years. 2009 sees an updated Nav. Anecdotally all three years are equally reliable. Many but not all who purchase the 3.6l have a bit of buyer's remorse for not getting the v8. Ultimately the turbo on the used market has great bang for buck when you factor in all the standard options. The 3.6l was often fairly stripped down. It's somewhat rare to find a non turbo with air suspension.
