Badge dilemma
My "turbo" badge has been removed due to being broken. I don't really want to pay to buy a new badge and then end up putting it on crooked. Should I completely de badge? How about putting some sort of decal in the space the badges used to be?

From what I've observed, most Cayennes that are debadged are the standard 6-cylinder variants; many of the owners who wish that they had a V-8.
Pay the bucks and display your Turbo proudly!

Or maybe the V8 owners just have more to compensate for
Or maybe the truth of the matter is that some of us just like the cleaner look without the model designation back there. I don't remember what the 955/957 looks like (seems all off them in my area are de-badged or modified including the GTS/CTT ones), but the mix of block and script on the 958 looks horrible in my opinion which is why I ordered my without it.

Let's be honest, if you have something special like a Turbo, shouldn't you flaunt it?

Ever put a die-cut sticker on your back window? The badges are the same thing. Use a tape measure and find the center point on your lift-gate both vertically and horizontally. Mark off vertical center on the glass with a small mark using a crayon or something. Using blue painter's tape, mask your horizontal-level, don't forget compensate for width of badge.
Measure badge and find center, mark it on the paper. Line that up with center mark on glass, lay it on even with your tape line, apply, peel off and you're done. Really easy actually.

Nor in mine
Actually that's exactly the argument I made in favor of keeping the badging on the 996 when we ordered it. She wanted the de-badge option, but C4s were still a rarity at that time.
That said, I'd de-badge a 991 GT3 or TTS in a heartbeat. Just like the new Cayenne the mix of type faces is ugly to me.

What's that expression about speaking softly and carrying a big stick. Personally i like the cleaner debadged look, for those in the know, they can see it's a turbo (tail pipes, front grill) for those that don't, that's their loss.
