I don't believe that the advice will have changed from the countless other threads. $2000 is what i'd be expecting to pay foe a set of replacement 21"s.

I've had good luck with Town Fair Tire. They did a nice job installing Michelins on my former BMW. Alloy wheels were unscratched, balance was perfect and no issues with the TPMS.

Order tires from tire rack and they have a list of tire shops that will let you ship tires to the shop for the install.

Pj which town fair did you use?Ive heard several horror stories about using them.

chsu using tire rack would save me a few hundred. A majority of their installers were Firestones the other in 5 min away I would be skeptical to use.

I guess for the piece of mind Ill just use the dealership.

I recommend Daniel Jacobs in Oxford. They are a Tire Rack installer so you can order from Tire Rack and ship directly to them. They mainly work on Porsches.

I used the shop in Stamford, CT. Was also worried if they could do it. No issues at all. They sent me to Norwalk for the 4 wheel alignment. I would use them again and prices were the same as Tire Rack when you add mounting, etc...

Do you use the Porsche dealer in Fairfield?

I had a terrific salesman there who moved to Danbury Porsche. Been back to Fairfield to look at a pre-owned 911 and was not impressed. Their service prices are sky high, so just using Greenwich now. There is a terrific Indy in Fairfield who did my clear bra, he will be doing my oil changes from now on.

I am still under Cpo so I am not aware of the pricing yet. I was just told about the indy in Fairfield. I intend on using them for oil changes if I don't switch cars by then. I am actually shocked that Greenwich is less expensive.

Thanks again for all the info.

Greenwich service is about the same price as Fairfield. They have Saturday service hours, which works better for me. We live closer to the Greenwich dealer.

I use Mavis in Cos Cob for tires. Big step up from Town Fair or Hank Mays.

Good suggestion to try Mavis. My only visit to Hank Mays 18 years ago was not a great trip. I rarely purchase tires, as I tend to dump cars before the first set wears out. If one of my cars gets a new set of tires, that means I like it.
