Replacing turn signal chime, light warning,...speaker
Greetings,
I am not a DIY type of a person but I thought my posting may end up being helpful to a fellow first gen. Cayenne owner.
My car is over 10 years old and obviously parts do wear out. After leaving the lights on (no warning chime) and getting stuck for couple of hours with a dead battery I decided to replace the defective speaker.
I purchased the OEM speaker part which came with the installation instructions on ebay for $49 + $10 SH. BTW, I heard dealers may recommend replacing the entire instrument cluster which can cost over $2K (not confirmed though).
I also found a helpful youtube video which shows how to remove the instrument cluster here:
This is the part that took most of the time for someone like me who has never done such work. I lost only one screw and broke couple of plastic clips but I think at the end, it'll work OK for an old car like mine
Once the cluster is removed the actual speaker installation is under 10 minutes. Just be careful with the thin plastic clips that hold the speaker plug (when lifting the white panel off the instrument housing). Yes I broke one of those too
Regards,
Sam

We dont have any here in the UK and only one US seller came up on ebay which would have cost me around £70 with fee's and import tax etc. I typed the number in google and found a seller in Germany for £15 delivered and No import fees
