It's a search that may take a little time.
Great price, great shape, right now.
Pick two.
Personally, it took me about 6 months of casual looking to find mine. I didn't care about color, but price and condition was important. I need to do my coolant pipes (going to DIY, parts are on the way). But I got a pretty good price and a few extra goodies with it. And a stack of dealer shop receipts an inch thick.
The one in Chicago looks really nice. A bit pricey, but everything's been done. That level of work would cost you quite a lot to have done correctly.
It wouldn't be cheap to DIY.
I do love, however, that he claims " Most well maintained CTT's with maintenance history and low miles are $24K and up price range."
109k is not "low miles."
But if the OP won't own that color, then that's it.
The other one looks pretty good too. But at an Indy dealer, I'm wondering what kind of records it has and what of the "usual issues" have been addressed.

The only 955's with values over $20k are the 2006's. NADA on a 2004 is right around 20k with low miles (not 109k). This is important since most buyers do not drop 20k in cash. The bank will look at the NADA value.
So extra cash up front for repairs done, or cash on the back end to do them post purchase.
The quote was somewhat correct, the 40-80k mile 955's do have asking prices around $24k. $20k for that "masculine color combo" seems pretty good.
considering the amount of work done

I'm not sure where all the 22k+ prices are coming from. Only dealers are asking that much and I can't believe people would pay it. I'm pretty determined to buy from a private seller at this point because the dealers either have damaged goods or want ridiculous prices. The KBB values are all in the 15-17 range, even at ~70k miles. I started to be willing to pay more to get a good one, but at this point it seems safer to get a private party (forum member) one with reasonable mileage at a low price. Even if I have to drop a few $k in parts, I'm still way under budget. I'm going to be DD'ing and allowing my girlfriend to pour coffee everywhere inside of this car, so I don't want to over invest.

I bought one today from RL user clo. Needs some cosmetic stuff but seems solid, and the price was good. Warm starts are a bit weak; probably needs a starter at some point.

Clear side markers, new badges. I want a set of 18" stock wheels for AT tires. I'm going to get a tiregate for a fullsize spare at some point.
Thanks for the compliments. It's a 15 footer for now, but with a little massaging should be in the 8 footer range. I don't thin I'm going to do anything about the clear coat on the nose, which is faded. Just too much trouble.
In the end, the low price and ease of buying from a Rennlister was what did it for me. I liked the color combo and the wheels, and I liked that it was nice but not too nice, so that I don't mind driving it. It'll be an ongoing project to fix some little leaks and cosmetic things, which should be fun.
