Back in business ;-)
Just came back yesterday, got the car. Runs great, seems a little more potent at high revs but that night just be driving a rental minivan for 6 weeks speaking :-))
Btw, the guy never revealed the name of the rebuilder. He gave me an invoice from his own company and actually gave me 18 month warranty w/o mileage restrictions.

I have a couple more weeks for my rebuild to be finished and I can barely wait. Glad you got yours back and the way I understand it, it should be better than new.

LOL (sorry) that engine sounds like there is a small chihuahua barking inside it.
On a serious note, after watching many stories about blown engines on Cayennes closely - my opinion is that the best option is to have the engine rebuilt yourself at a reputable machine shop knowing exactly what and how it's going to be repaired.
Much better than buying a new one from Porsche, or a rebulit engine not knowing what exactly was done with it.
