New 2015 Cayennes announced
http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=874
-The Base V6 Model is no more
-The S gets a 3.6L V6 T w/ 420hp
-Macan Sytle Steering wheel
Looks like prices are up quite a bit too. The S increases from USD 66,800 to 74,100. Hopefully theres more content.
I like it, except I was hoping for a PDK option, larger mirrors and Macan type rear lights

Pretty minor Facelift. New engine for s, no base v6, interior is same except for wheels and pretty minor changes to front and rear bumpers.

No base model? Yet?
Given the lack luster sales of the current Hybrid I'm surprised they put money into the program.
I really don't like those headlights
About time the Xenons were standard across the line.
WTF? The HP and TQ didn't change for the diesel? Audi and VW are pulling better numbers out of the motor. They had to have mixed up before and after right?
Based on the price increases, you're still paying for the new "standard" options. I understand they are trying to widen the gap between the Macan and Cayenne, but I think they did it in the wrong direction Oh well, glad I got mine when I did.
And how has them developing an entirely new motor worked out in the past?
I think I'd wait a generation or two...

Another highlight is the entirely new 3.6 liter twin-turbo V6 engine for the Cayenne S. It was entirely developed by Porsche

its says the fenders and Hood are also NEW.
Yes, GNAT the Diesel engine figures are a let down.
BTW I think the Macan will see a price adjust as well.

I like the new steering wheel except that the airbag is smaller (I had designs on retrofitting it, but having to replace the AB too puts it out of the justifiable range for me).
I also like that the grill looks more aggressive on the diesel/S/hybrid, but I think the current GTS/TT grill looks better.

Price way up on the S. $74100 Looks like Bose and PCM included in that price. Xenion lights and new Steering Wheel too but not sure if heating of wheel is included (A must here in MN).
I've got a slot but have not been able to configure yet.

Not only will the cost be an issue for development, but there is now a much narrower window between the S and TT for the GTS to fit in (currently it fits well between the two power-wise).
Contrary to my thoughts in the current diesel thread, with these numbers I'd be hard pressed to justify the diesel. I love my diesel, but if the S is pretty much the same torque and almost twice the HP the $14k difference is worth the upgrade cost. By moving to a TT motor the S should see an improvement in MPG too (not diesel territory, but better than the current).
VAG continues to make odd (to me) pricing decisions with the Cayenne and it's siblings.
