Default Beru wires and plugs

I keep hearing that Beru wires are the pinnacle of wires. My indy insisted on putting Beru plugs in and what came out were old, burnt Bosch plugs..not sure if they were original. What did Porsche put in OEM factory on a 08 Cayenne and how are the Beru plugs?

No wires on the Cayenne. But the OEM coilpacks are BERU. Depends on the model on which brand of plugs but BERU are one of the OEM suppliers.

Tim, one of the techs that posts here has in the past said Beru's and NGK's are the only plugs for the turbo, for the normally aspirated Bosch also makes plugs for them.
Personally don't care for the Berus in the 993 and use Bosch in that application.

I'm not fond of the 4 ground electrodes on the Bosch plugs. It seems they would occlude some flame propagation on ignition and reduce efficiency. A single ground electrode would seem to make more sense.
What happened to the platinum plugs they used to offer? They burned cleaner and lasted longer, and had a wider heat range.

True for the 955. The 957 Turbo uses a Bosch plug with a single electrode. FR6 NPP 332. The threaded portion of the plug is a longer on the 957 than on the 955, so they are not interchangeable.
