New Cayenne owner.
Hi Guys! Been checking Out the forum for about a week now.LOTS
Of good info.it seems I've picked up my first Porsche. A black 05 V6
With just shy of 61,5K on the meter. I picked it up at a very good price
So we'll see how I like it.
I like to be preventive when it comes to maintenance.
I hear some "popping" in the cats when the truck is cold. Normal?
I think I read somewhere that rich mixture is sent through warm up cat and that makes the noise?
I was thinking of cleaning the MAF sensor, cleaning injectors,
Then change 02 sensors + plugs and coils and Airfilter.
That should set me up for some trouble free miles.
There's allready been an alternator and water pump change on the truck.pads and rotors on the horizon also.
Beeing in Norway parts are EXPENSIVe so I'll most likely be doing eBay/pelican/sun coast.so I need to plan
Any other measures I should take?

Three Wheelin'
Welcome and congratulations! I am also new to Cayenne ownership so I cannot comment much about what you should do. If it ain't broke, don't fix it is usually a good starting point though. Save the money on the side for when you do need it though.

Congrats guys. I'm picking up next week, 2008 S with pano. I've had a bad experience with my last car, 2004 3series but I admittedly failed to properly maintain it. Would be great if we could come up with a check list to make sure our cars taken care of. My biggest concerns are the coolant and oil leaks, these two issues seem to be the cause of alot of serious problems down the road.

I come from (and still have) American V8s. Oil changes with correct oils, filters, are what i always keep up on. Also making sure There's no sort Of leaks or clogged fuel lines/filters and sensors should keep you on top of things.

I've actually yet to pick up mine but around the 20th I should be cruising in a Porsche.
New daily driver. So I'm curious to see how it will serve me. I opted for the V6 as I have a fuel injected 500hp 1200kg 1966 street/track mustang to serve my need for speed..
I've always been drawn by the porsche logo/herritage so i guess i was doomed to evetually Get one..
